BUSINESS COACHING

A business coach is someone who partners a manager to create a vision, to clarify goals and to assist in change management.
The process involves debating and the challenging of concepts currently held, creating a new direction and concentrating a focus to achieve results.

The process is performed in structured modules of one hour, usually by telephone, at weekly, fortnightly or monthly intervals. At the conclusion of each module a written report is prepared and posted on a secure section of the Computachem website, which can only be accessed by a unique client password.
Additional notification and communication is performed using e-mail.

Timing of the telephone communication is important and occurs at a time when the client has minimal distraction.
It is usually performed outside of normal business hours.
This ensures a more relaxing and permissive interaction to occur.

The initial call starts with the client identifying a specific problem or process that requires intervention and change. A series of questions are asked by the coach in the context of the perceived problem:

"How?";
"When?";
"Where?";
"Why?";

will reveal a pattern of obstacles and successes, and a pathway evolves, to point in a direction with more clarity and certainty.
It is a learning process and is always rewarding.

After reaching a tentative conclusion, one final question is asked:

"Is the process really necessary at all?"

If it is agreed that it is, then we have commitment.

Decisions are always made by the client and never by the business coach.
It is in the implementation of decisions where the coach is most helpful, always tidying up and sharpening client style ( just as a sporting coach does), to achieve a personal best. It is the ongoing style support that occupies future coaching contacts, on a revolving and ongoing basis, until a natural completion is achieved.
At this point, coaching ceases, or the client defines another process requiring an intervention.

Business coaching is more economical than consulting, generally not involving travel time and travel expenses, and fully utilises information technology.
Charges are on a sliding scale:

One session per month...........$180 per session + GST

Two sessions per month.........$160 per session + GST

Four sessions per month.........$140 per session + GST

Charges include all research time, report costs, e-mail contact, basic out of pocket expenses, and the one hour telephone contact.

The Computachem coaching style is performed in a stimulating and challenging manner to achieve motivation. While it may be defined as pragmatic and using an exception process, the client is not left uncomfortable.
The style involves intuitiveness, perception and listening skills.
Solutions are engineered to be "out of the square", designed to keep a client well stocked with intellectual input, and be kept out in front of any competitor.

Computachem skill base is rooted in all areas of management and marketing, with a particular interest in e-commerce, marketing and human resources.
We are able to work with concepts developed by other organisations e.g. we can enhance the output of your marketing group or supply you with a totally independent marketing system controlled by you.
We can build your e-commerce website, or we can modify or market a website created by another organisation.
We are totally supportive to all client needs at any stage of development.

Any prospective client can have a free "try before you buy" session of 30 minutes.
This creates an opportunity to experience the coaching process, first hand, without any obligation to pay.

Just write down one issue that may require an intervention, and send brief details by e-mail to neilj@computachem.com.au marking the subject line "Free Trial", plus an appropriate date and time for return communication. At the close of the session we will express a verbal opinion, and follow up with an e-mail giving a considered opinion a day or so later.
